September- Emma playing

Here's Emma getting ready to go down the slide on her play set in the back yard. If you look through to the back you can see the new siding we had put on the house in September. It looks really nice and I'm glad we got it done before winter.

July- Pool Time Again.

Here's a photo of Emma playing in her pool at our house. She loved the pool!

June- Playground fun

This is Emma playing at the playground. What cute pig tails she had that day. :)

June- Splish Splash.

Here's a few pics of Emma & Hailey playing at the pool Grandma has a the campground. They were having a blast.

Father's Day

Here's a couple photos from Father's Day.

June- Garage gets a new roof.

Here is one of our projects we worked on this summer. Mike put a new roof on the garage with a little help from family and friends but he did do a lot of the work himself. I guess, I didn't get a picture of the finished project but it looks great!

This Summer = Bad Blogger

So... I know, I've been terrible all summer about blogging. The plan is to do some catching up as to what has been going on with us this summer. My last blog was about Mother's Day. Oh my... I've got my work cut out for me. Ha!

Mother Daughter Tea

On May 4th Emma and I went to our first Mother Daughter Tea. Both the Grandma's were able to come too. It was a nice afternoon...except for Emma had pink eye. Poor girl, it's all better now. Thank goodness. Here's a photo mom took for me of Emma & I after the Tea.

Easter

Easter's been over a month ago already but I'm trying to play catch up with the blog... its been busy lately. Here's a few photos of the girls having an Easter Egg hunt at Grandma & Grandpa Briggs' house. They sure did have a good time. They found fun things like stickers, change and candy in their eggs. They sure have grown a lot since last Easter.

St Louis Getaway

Mike and I got to spend the Friday and Saturday before Easter in St. Louis. Mike received the trip from the seed rep at his work. It was very nice. We stayed at the Hilton and got to go to the Cardinals game. We tried to go up in the Arch, because I've never been, but the wait was about 3 hours. We had a great time!

Fredbird (thought Emma would like him)

Last week

Last week was a little crazy, Emma was sick but is getting better. Those nasty colds are really making their rounds. It always breaks my heart when she's not feeling well. Here's a photo of her on her tricycle and a couple of her with the boys from this weekend.

Emma on the carousel

We had a good afternoon today with Grandma and Grandpa Briggs. We went to the mall in Springfield and Emma went on her first carousel ride. She was so excited about it. When we were buying the ticket she had pretty much wormed her way out of the stroller before I could unbuckle her. She just couldn't wait to ride on it. She was all smiles the whole time. She thought it was so fun, in fact she wanted to ride it a second time. As we walked away she was yelling horsey, horsey!

Bubbles & Hercules

Here's a photo of Bubbles & Hercules... two of our pets.

This is Bubbles one of Emma's "she-shes" aka fishies.
Grandma Cook got the fish for her before they left for Arizona.

This is one of our Great Danes, Hercules, we usually call him Herc-e. We finally got Emma to start saying his name. She has been calling both of them Harley.

I'll try to post some photos of Nemo & Harley soon... stay tuned.

Daddy's Little Helper

Here's Emma helping Daddy touch up some paint on the living room wall. What a good little helper!

Emma's Party

We had a Mickey Mouse party for Emma's Birthday. Here's a few photos from the party. As you can see, she wasn't so happy when we all started singing Happy Birthday.

Here's a photo of her in her pedal car from Grandma & Grandpa Briggs. She loves the bell.
This is Emma and her friend Amie... so cute!

Opening gifts...

Here she is on the tricycle that we got her.
The girl made out with some loot! It's like a toy bomb went off at the house...still trying to find just the right spot for everything. I think one of her favorite gifts was her "lip" (that's what she calls chap stick) that she got from Amie, she couldn't put it down after she got it.

Emma's 2nd Birthday

Can you believe it? Emma's TWO! On Emma's Birthday we celebrated by going to the Children's Discovery Museum. She had a great time exploring the different exhibits. After the Museum we went and had lunch with Grandma at work and then did a little shopping. When we had cake later that night, she kept blowing out the candle before we could finish singing Happy Birthday.

Emma's First Haircut

Emma got her first haircut on Thursday night at A New You. As you can see below she didn't really like it. Poor thing, cried the whole time. We even tried to bribe her with fruit snacks but that didn't work either.

I'll try to post some new photos soon, so you can see how the haircut turned out.

Ongoings...

What's going on? Not much, but I'm trying to get better about posting a little more frequently. Emma's doing better now after a sore throat that required a doctors visit last Wednesday. The "big girl news" has faded this week. There is no using the potty this week! Sometimes I can definitely see that the terrible twos are here! She is really into the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show on Disney. I decided to do a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme for her birthday. I ordered the invites today. Hopefully they will arrive early next week, so I can get them in the mail. However, if anyone wants to save the date its March 7th at 2:30.

Big Girl News

Just thought I would share that Emma has started to go on the potty now. She went 3 times last week. I'm not sure how long it will last, but she sure seemed proud of herself. She's getting to be such a big girl.

Tea for Two

I can't believe these two are almost two! Thought this photo was cute.

Tub time

Silly girls in the tub.
