Christmas Cards

So, I just got my Christmas cards mailed today, so I'm sure most of you will probably receive them late... good thing they said Happy Holidays. Seems like I never get to update the blog as much as I'd like too. Where does time go? But here's a few things that have been going on lately. Mike had a busy fall season at work again this year and he has recently accepted the position as Stanford Fire Chief. It's still a volunteer position but just a little more involved now. I took a sewing class for a few weeks that ended in November. I made a tote bag, I thought it turned out pretty good. Emma is growing and learning so much each day. She currently loves the movies Finding Nemo, Cars and Walle. We get requests to watch at least one of them every day. For those of you missing the dogs in the Christmas cards this year. We still have them and they are doing well. I'll try to post a few pics of them soon. I wanted to get some different pictures to use in the cards this year but it just didn't work out. Hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful Christmas.

Emma the Vet

Emma was playing Doctor on Herc and she had the stethoscope on him. I went to grab the camera to take a picture and she stands up turns and says "cheese." So much for candid pictures.

Emma visits Santa

On December 6th we went to visit Santa. I'm sure you are asking where the Jolly guy in the red suit is. Well Emma did not like Santa this year. She wouldn't even let me hold her and sit next to Santa so Mike could take a picture. After the traumatic visit with Santa I tried to get a few pics but this is about it. She wouldn't even give up her "b."

Fall

Here's some photos from earlier tonight. We've had some nice weather the last few days, so I tried to get in a few outside fall pics before the snow gets here. As you can see, she was having a great time playing in the leaves. She sure has been changing so much lately. She's saying more and more words each day. She's even teaching Grandma and Grandpa sign language.

Halloween Night

We took Emma trick or treating on Halloween. Her cousin James, Aunt GG & Aunt Ra Ra went with us too. It was so nice out, unlike the "normal" Halloween weather. She seemed to enjoy herself and everyone thought she was cute... too cute to be a witch.

Campgound Halloween

Here's a few photos from Halloween weekend at the campground. They celebrated Halloween on the 18th with all sorts of fun activities. They had a costume contest and Pirate Hailey won first prize in their age category.

Sweet Mountain Escape

What a great vacation we had in early October! We had a wonderful time in the Smokey Mountains with our friends Bryan, Jenny & Noah. We did lots of fun things like the Dixie Stampede, the Nascar Speed Park, Ripley's Aquarium, shopping the outlet mall and sight seeing. Enjoy the pics!

Cheese....So cute!

Like I said... a great 1st vacation for Emma and Mommy & Daddy too! She seemed to really like the Dixie Stampede and the Aquarium. She really did hike up part of the mountain by herself and Mike & I liked her speed of hiking. :) Wish I could have taken some more pics, I took two cameras and they were both acting up. :(

Stay tuned for pics from Halloween weekend at the campground...

Who needs toys...

...when you have a colander. Crazy kid! She even says cheese now when you take her picture. Well... it sounds more like cheee, but you know what she's trying to say.

Western Wingding

On Saturday we went to State Farm Park for the Western Wingding. Emma went on her first pony ride, which she didn't really like so much. There were also a few kiddie games like the bean bag toss and the clothes pin drop. I think her favorite part was hanging out with her friend Aime. Enjoy the pics.

"Look what I can do."

So, tonight I was washing dishes and I turned around to find Emma in the cabinets. I made a mad dash for the camera and got a few shots. So silly! She's grown up so much this past month. She really started walking over the 4th of July weekend. She had taken a few steps before then but was still mainly crawling. Mike was working late tonight and I got a short video of her crawling into the cabinet. I showed her the video on the camera and she pointed to herself and said baby...baby. She's at such a fun age and we have a great time but at the same time it makes me a little sad that each day she's less like a baby and more like a toddler. But, I'm sure all parents feel that way.

Here's a few photos from June 22. I took these for Beth. She wanted to put a collage together of the girls for mom for her Birthday. Turned out pretty good.
